Commercial HVAC Maintenance Agreement Sales

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads for commercial maintenance service
  • Convert leads into customers by using a sales process - helping them invest in service,
    maintenance, and HVAC equipment.

Essential duties:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Perform a minimum of 2 surveys a week for potential new customers. This can include direct mail, canvassing, riding with technicians, etc. to obtain the surveys
  • Maintain existing customers' accounts
  • Follow up regularly after service/maintenance calls to ensure the maintenance/service went well.
  • Yearly follow up at the end of the agreement year to review all service/maintenance/replacement work and renew the customer for the following year(s)
  • Provide Installation Project opportunities to Project Salesperson
  • Complete paperwork as required by company policy
  • Ensure that all paperwork is complete so jobs can be billed
  • Complete all manufacturer program paperwork
  • Speak to customers and others that reception cannot assist
  • Other tasks as requested by the Sales manager, Operations Manager, and CEO

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Self motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously.  
  • Must be able to respond to difficult situations with customers and co-workers with high level of professionalism.  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers.
  • Must be able to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Must have ability to manage and lead effectively.

Work Environment:

This position works in the office and the field.  The office environment is controlled and maintained in a safe manner.  Must occasionally drive to meet technicians, customers or vendors. Will climb ladders to survey equipment and work on roofs to get accurate equipment lists, filter and belt sizes, and report on equipment condition. Adherence to Safety Policy and Driving Safety Policy is vital. Candidate should be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 5 years HVAC /Refrigeration sales, installation, or PM experience
  • Ability to close sales
  • Ability to cold call and generate leads
  • Ability to represent BlueHat Mechanical, Inc. in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must have valid drivers’ license and a good driving record
  • Ability to handle difficult customer/installer/technician issues
  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
